Child And Family Advocacy Program dba Blue Sky Bridge - School-Based Prevention Education Program($20,000)
Blue Sky Bridge was established to provide a safe and supportive environment for abuse victims, where a neutral, professionally-led forensic interview provides case information for all participating law enforcement, judicial and social service agencies. The School-Based Prevention Education Program provides child abuse prevention education to third grade students, their parents/caregivers, and teachers. The main goals of the program are to help children develop strategies to help keep themselves safe and to report abuse to adults, and to empower adults to prevent abuse in their communities. HFC funds will support the Prevention Education Coordinator and the Bilingual Outreach/Family Support Advocate.

Denver Children's Advocacy Center - Denver Safe from the Start at Barnum ($20,000)
The Denver Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC) serves children who have been sexually abused or traumatized by providing a coordinated assessment and investigation of the child’s abuse with the medical staff, the police, prosecutors, forensic interviewers, and social workers (the multi-disciplinary team). The Denver Safe from the Start program provides a school-based prevention and healthy development curriculum for low income, Spanish-speaking children ages 3 to 7, their parents/caregivers, and teachers at Rocky Mountain Head Start sites. The main goals of the program are to prevent child abuse and family violence and foster healthy childhood development. HFC funds will support program staff and cover a portion of the program’s supplies and evaluation.

Family Advocacy, Care, Education, Support (FACES) - Home Visitation Program ($10,000)
FACES provides home-based services for families, children, and infants in the metro Denver area.  The Home Visitation Program utilizes Masters-level Family Counselors to provide home-based therapeutic counseling, parenting education, advocacy, and support services to prevent at-risk children from being abused or to treat children that have already been abused. Family counselors focus on increasing nurturing and attachment and positive parent-child relationships. The program’s goals are to strengthen parents and families so that children will be safe, secure, and happy. HFC funds will support the Family Counselors.

Front Range Center for Assault Prevention - Child and Teen Assault Prevention ($20,000)
Front Range Center for Assault Prevention (FRCAP) teaches children how to prevent bully assault, stranger abduction, and sexual assault.  The Child and Teen Assault Prevention project teaches children and adolescents how to recognize potentially dangerous situations and gives them strategies to deal with those situations through individual classroom workshops in kindergarten to high school. Every workshop is preceded by parent, teacher, and staff training on child abuse. The primary goal of the program is to reduce the vulnerability of children and adolescents. HFC funds will support the Program Facilitators.
