New York City - 5/15/2009

New York – April 22, 2009 -- BTIG LLC, an institutional broker dealer specializing in trading and related brokerage services, announced that they will donate equity and derivative trading commission profits earned on May 19 to a group of nonprofit organizations.

Their last Commissions for Charity Day raised more than $2 million, and over the past five years BTIG has donated more than $7 million to various organizations.

“We are excited to be partnering with such impactful organizations to help our communities and future generations prosper,” said Steven Starker, Co-founder of BTIG. “The importance of charitable giving is heightened during these uncertain economic times, and we remain committed to supporting these organizations and their causes.”
