The goals of the program are to prevent out of home placement by keeping children safe with family, reinforce the elimination of violent and coercive couple behavior, integrate effective, sustainable safety plans to prevent and de-escalate situations that have the potential for violence, address the causes of the couple’s violent behavior patterns, address the emotional and behavioral problems that a child may be demonstrating as a result of maltreatment and trauma related to IPV exposure, improve family functioning and effective partnering/co-parenting when safe to do so.
